I buy this every year to kill duckweed. Best product I have used for it.

  2. gamparano

Used this product to rid lagoon (40 ft diameter 4 ft deep) of duck weed. Treatment was 12 ounces of Dibrox in a two gallon sprayer. Very effective within 48 hours. Also used it to rid 1 acre pond of sago pondweed around it’s perimeter spraying Dibrox directly and liberally on the pondweed with a two gallon sprayer containing 16 ounces of Dibrox. Product was somewhat effective in killing the pondweed after a one week period and ended up retreating areas that had thicker pondweed concentrations with the same Dibrox mixture and was effective in killing of the remaining pondweed within another week

Diquat at 15 ounces per 0.1 surface area acre at 4 ft average death with non Ionic surfactant and 5 ounces 2–4D had 100 % kill of duck weed. This N W Arkansas stock pond was 100% covered with duck weed. The duckweed had been mechanically removed twice. Ph adjustment of water and enzyme and water chemistry were not preventing the exponential growth the Diquat was effective in 72 hours.
