This product works incredibly well! I tried many similar products but this one has been most effective on the sting algae my pond. I have been using it for 2 years. I am incredibly pleased with the products, knowledge and assistance from the representatives at lake restoration.

Removed most of the string algae from my 50×60 foot pond with my boat, started to come back, bought this, applied twice already and not much of a result, going to try it again and put more on, am disappointed as the reviews seemed promising?!

Tammy,
We would love to help you get more success on algae control as you try again. Could you email a photo of the string algae with description of how much Cape Furl you are using and how you are treating it: plants@lakerestoration.com

This product worked great. We were away in the spring and the algae bloomed before we were able to put the aerator on. We usually are able to keep the algae under control but everything we tried was not working until we got Cape Furl. It worked quickly and our pond is now without algae.

Excellent product, Cape Furl, had a real problem with string algae and it controlled and cleared the pond with one application. now with weekly treatment is gone. No effect on fish and plants.. My koi pond is about 6500 gallons.

So, I struggle in leaving a less than stellar review because the folks at this company are so nice and so helpful, but this was my experience. I have a 2/3 acre pond and bought this product due to having channel catfish and grass carp in the pond. While I agree that it did “bleach out” some of the algae it really was rather ineffective in any areas that the algae wasn’t incredibly thick. I even waited for a day when the wind had blown the floating algae hard to one side of the pond and I dosed it all very heavily with a handheld spreader from a boat and the shore. I had very high hopes as it did appear to “bleach” the algae somewhat. However, the next day and even a week later you cannot tell that I even used any whatsoever. It honestly didn’t reduce the algae in the pond at all. I followed the instructions and dosing directions as closely as I could.

We have tried so many other products to control string algae and green water in our pond, with less than great results. This stuff works within hours, killing the string algae, and especially, resolving the green water issue. Our water is crystal clear now! Also – this stuff did not appear to hurt any of the tadpoles in our pond. So happy we finally found a product that works, and bonus! it is very affordable.

This Is for Cape Furl. I was having a very hard time controlling the string algae, UV light, cleaning the filters daily, brushing and netting, nothing helped in the Texas heat. I needed a product that wouldn’t harm the koi or plants. I went on line and found Lake Restoration and they recommended Cape Furl. Problem solved, this stuff really works, so often it’s all nonsense. I have been using Cape Furl as directed, weekly treatments, and string algae is controlled and pond is crystal clear. Fish and plants are just fine. I highly recommend Cape Furl!

Cape furl is the most AMAZING algae killer I have ever used! In the 28 years I have had this pond I have used several so called algae killers and was left with floating fish and ALGAE. One treatment of CAPE FURL the floating algae mass was dissolving before I was finished!! The second day my pond was TOTALLY CLEAR AND VOID OF ALGAE! It’ has been a couple months now and no dead fish and NO ALGAE!!! Finally a product that works, you have a customer for life THANK YOU THANK YOU!!

I spent over $2000 on algae treatments with no signs of progress. I call lake restoration and they recommend cape furl. For a lousy $75 my algae problem is gone. This stuff works and works very quickly.

Works fast, will use it again.

I care for a smaller somewhat shallow fishing pond at a camp. There is full sun and little water flow, so algae can be a huge challenge. This product has been an effective control, and we use it successfully with our stocked rainbow trout and resident salamanders.

Great stuff, very fast acting kinda enjoyed watching it work.
